Study Programs

In addition to our weekly meditation classes, KMC-MD offers two in-depth study programs. These study programs provide an extraordinary way to learn more about Buddhism, get connected with the Kadampa community, and go deeper into the Buddhist Way of Life. We study the commentaries to Mahayana texts written by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso as well as the texts themselves. Each program incorporates chanted prayer, guided meditation, in-depth instruction, and partner and group discussion. You are welcome to join at any time. We ask that each student make a monthly plegde and commit to the class for a portion of the text. Specific class information is below. Please contact us for further information.

NEW!
A new Foundation Program class starts on January 28, 2012. It is a two session class, Sundays 1pm-3pm and Mondays 7pm-9pm. We will study the text Universal Compassion which is a commentary to the ancient text Training the Mind in Seven Points. The teachings from this text are devoted to helping us transform difficult situations into spiritual growth and to increase our love and compassion. You can learn more information about this text at www.tharpa.com
