These classes include both meditations and teachings based on Buddha’s wisdom that can help us to stay peaceful, even in the most challenging times. Current series topic:

Staying Positive No Matter What Happens: Accepting Criticism

Buddha advises us to “Rely upon a Happy Mind Alone”.  When we learn how to be our own protector we can stay positive and apply constructive solutions to the difficult situations we encounter in our daily life, at work and at home.


To Register for Class: Please register upon arrival. We request that you arrive 10 minutes early if possible.

Cost: $12/class ($8 students/seniors 62+/unemployed).  

Your first class is always free: just let us know it’s your first class when you arrive.

You can also become a member starting at $50/month and receive discounts while you help to provide a steady level of support for our activities. These classes are included in your membership!

Rachel Renz

has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism and meditation since 2005. She studies on our Teacher Training Program, and for several years was also a full time volunteer manager at KMC Maryland. Rachel is a dedicated and sincere practitioner, and shares Buddha’s wisdom through her example and practical teachings.
