Join us in our downstairs Community Room to hear Gen Chogden tell us about the wonderful opportunities available to us at Kadampa Buddhist Festivals. A high point of the year for Kadampa Buddhists is the International & National Kadampa Buddhist festivals. At these festivals everyone is welcome, regardless of previous experience, to enjoy a relaxing & inspiring spiritual holiday with the international Kadampa Buddhist community.

At international festivals we have the opportunity to receive teachings from the most senior teachers of the New Kadampa Tradition and enjoy the peaceful and serene setting of the various worldwide Kadampa World Peace Temples. Also we can form lasting spiritual friendships with Kadampa practitioners attending from around the world.

This year there will be opportunities to attend the Spring and Summer Festivals at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Center in the UK, and the Fall Festival at KMC Spain. The Summer Festival will feature Highest Yoga Tantra Empowerments!

About the Teacher: Gen Kelsang Chogden

Gen Kelsang Chogden is a Buddhist nun and Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Maryland.

Gen Chogden has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism since 1998 under Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave her the title “Gen” indicating that she is a senior ordained teacher of the Kadampa Tradition.

She is well-loved for her warmth, kindness, and wisdom, which have come from her sincere and heartfelt practice of Kadam Dharma over many years.

Her teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through her gentle and joyful approach and her peaceful example, she has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.
